Our Approach
Restoring Ecosystems with Integrity and Scale
From Degraded Land to Thriving Ecosystems
Nature Development Company develops large-scale ecosystem restoration projects that generate high-integrity carbon credits and deliver measurable biodiversity and community value. Our approach is holistic and localized, tailoring solutions to the ecological, social, and economic context of each landscape.
All projects are to be designed and verified under Verra’s VM0047 methodology for afforestation, reforestation and revegetation, ensuring every ton of carbon removed is real, permanent and transparent. By aligning with global sustainability frameworks, we restore land with integrity and create scalable impact for both nature and people.
Securing Land
We identify and establish long term agreements for degraded land in priority regions. This creates the foundation for large-scale restoration while aligning with local governments and landholders.
Restoring Ecosystems
Through nurseries and reforestation with native and endemic species, we rebuild biodiversity and climate resilience. Each site is designed to create measurable ecological and social value.
Engaging Communities
We work hand in hand with local communities to strengthen livelihoods, generate fair opportunities, and ensure long-term stewardship of restored landscapes.
Monitoring & Verification
Using advanced MRV systems, we track ecosystem growth and carbon removal in near real time. All projects aim to be certified under Verra’s VM0047 methodology, ensuring credibility and transparency.
Creating Sustainable Revenues
We generate high quality carbon removal credits and develop complementary activities such as agroforestry and ecotourism, building diversified, resilient income streams for everyone involved to sustain impact over time.
Grounded in Global Frameworks
Our approach is guided by the world’s most ambitious climate and biodiversity frameworks. From the Paris Agreement and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the EU Taxonomy – as well as emerging regional taxonomies in Latin America – we design projects that contribute directly to global commitments, while setting a benchmark for integrity in the voluntary carbon market.
